"Used them for upwards of 8 years and then got a notice that my homeowners policy was non-renewed unless I replaced my driveway because their underwriting department deemed it too significant of a tripping hazard. This assertion is rather contrived, and the response from the agents representatives as to underwriting’s criteria for a fix was not very concise or understandable. I’ve reached out to the agent’s staff and asked for the appropriate channels to submit a complaint as well as the correct place to leave a review, and I have not gotten the information I requested. I’ll be leaving this review here until the time that they contact me with the information I requested and I can move this review to a more appropriate place. Edit: the agent has been unhelpful in trying to arbitrate this issue. This review will stay here as the contents of the non-renewal impact my family’s ability to obtain reasonably priced insurance"

We understand how frustrating and disruptive a non-renewal notice can be, especially when it impacts your ability to secure affordable coverage for your family. We also hear your concern about not having a clear path to escalate or provide feedback regarding the underwriting decision. To clarify, underwriting decisions are made at the company level and there isn’t a direct line to underwriting itself. However, there are formal channels to have your concerns reviewed and documented. You can contact State Farm Customer Care at 1-800-STATE-FARM where they can open a formal case and ensure your concerns are reviewed internally. That said, it’s clear we fell short in clearly providing this information and helping you navigate next steps, and we take responsibility for that. Our goal is always to advocate for our customers and make situations like this as understandable and manageable as possible. "I recently had a great experience with State Farm, and I especially want to highlight the help I received from Halle. Shopping for insurance can feel overwhelming, and a lot of quotes I received from other companies were honestly pretty expensive for what they offered. Halle made the whole process much easier and less stressful. She took the time to explain my coverage options in a way that actually made sense and helped me find a policy that fit my needs without pushing unnecessary add-ons. What I appreciated most was that she focused on getting me solid coverage at a reasonable price, not trying to upsell me into something way out of my budget. Thanks to Halle, I ended up with really good insurance coverage for a price that didn’t feel crazy or unrealistic. She was patient, responsive, and genuinely seemed to care about helping me get the best value possible.
